He was predeceased by: his parents, H. B. Ransom and Margaret Davis Ransom; his former wife Corine Cummings Ransom; and his siblings, Richard Davis and Diane Jernigan.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Hopkins Ransom of McColl; his children, Christopher Cummings (April) of McColl, Crystal Ransom and Angela Ransom Caulder of McColl; his sisters, Carol Coleman of McColl, Janice Jones (Wayne) of McColl, Lisa Jones of McColl and Edna Britt (Lewis) of McColl; his grandchildren, Jacob Caulder, Maddie Johnson, Gage Cummings, Brayden Locklear, Kayleigh Ransom and Peyton "Charlie" Ransom; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Caulder, Weston Shenkle and Lucas Colvin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
