He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth Ann Hunt Ray; his brother Harley B. Ray, III; and his grandfather Thurmon Locklear. He is survived by: his father Harley Bishop Ray, Jr. (Angela) of McColl; his grandparents, Crystal Ann Locklear of Clio, Harley B. Ray, Sr. (Catherine) of McColl and Billie Jean Ray of McColl; his daughter Jaclyn Ray; his stepbrothers, Matthew Clark and Joseph Witherspoon; and his close friend Prentiss McLaurin.
