He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Smith and Clarice May Bullard Smith. He is survived by: his wife Lula Newton Smith (Jenny) of Virginia; his children, Wendy Smith, David Smith and Steven Smith; his stepchildren, Regina Shelley (Robert) and David Williams, Jr. (Laura); his sisters, Shirley Kiker (J. T.), Valena Sopher and Sara Wright; his siblings-in-law, William Donald Newton and Willie Mae Smith; his grandchildren, Ashley Benjamin (Jacob), Meghan Smith, Kyle Smith, Nickolaus Smith, Steven Smith, Jr., Tim Smith and Brayden Williams; his great grandchild Noah Benjamin; and his pet Baby. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Covid-19 health safety standards, those in attendance are asked to wear facial coverings and abide by the social distancing guidelines.
