He was predeceased by: his parents, JD Prevatte and Bertha Chavis Prevatte; his son Kevin Wayne Locklear; his grandchildren, Declan Prevatte and Emslee Prevatte; and his siblings, Fairley Prevatte, Joseph Prevatte, Roy Allen Prevatte and Rebecca Grooms.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher J. Prevatte (Whitney) of Clio, Johnathan Edward Prevatte (Jamie) of Clio, Jerome Sanders of Charlotte, William Allen Prevatte (Christen) of McColl, Donna Denise Prevatte of McColl and Melissa Ann Prevatte of McColl; his siblings, William Elvis Prevatte of McColl and Velma Bailey of McColl; his grandchildren, Caleb Bullard, Brylee Prevatte, Rachel Perkins, Jaiden Prevatte, Brayden Prevatte, Jaxsen Prevatte, Jordyn Prevatte, Ivy Webster and Devyn Harper; his former wife Donna Kay Locklear of McColl; his close friends, Moses Oxendine of McColl, Dorothy Harris of McColl, Kimberly McRae of McColl and Pedro of McColl; and his friend Kenneth Odom of McColl. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rogers Funeral Home (300 N Church St, McColl, SC 29570). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Priest Cemetery.
