We bid farewell to Janie Johnson of McColl, South Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 26, 2024 at the age of 75. Janie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janie leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Hamilton and Fannie Holmes Hamilton; her husband Arthur Junior Johnson; her son Arthur Johnson, II; and her siblings, Paul Hamilton, Peggy Haithcock, Alice Vickers and Betty Lowery.
She is survived by: her sons, Sammy Lee Johnson of McColl, Ted Junior Johnson of Laurel Hill, NC and Richard Junior Johnson (Nicole) of McColl; her brother David Hamilton of Clio; and her close friend Floyd Lowery of Clio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Rogers Cemetery (15-401 Bypass, McColl, SC 29570).
