He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francisco, Sr. and Isabel Benitez Gutierrez; and his siblings, Louis Gutierrez and Grace Gutierrez. He is survived by: his significant other Lorraine Abruzzo of McBee; his son John Gutierrez (Kari) of McBee; his grandchildren, Isabel Gutierrez of Long Island, NY, Sarah Gutierrez of Long Island, NY and Emma Gutierrez of Long Island, NY; his sister Maria Isabel Mercado (Carlos) of Hartsville; and his nephews, Zachary Mercado and Jared Mercado.
