He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Sumter Cooley and Elizabeth Foster Cooley; his sons, Gary Cooley (Beth) of Spartanburg, S. C. and Stephen J. Cooley of Fort Mill, S. C.; his granddaughters, Olivia Cooley Columbia (Charles Pulliam), Rachel McEathron Winston (Rory) and N. C.; his great grandchild Jude P. Cooley of Columbia, S. C.; his close friend Gladys Quinn; his siblings, Edward Cooley (Eddie) of Mayo, Jenny Lou Bailey, E. Ann Foster, Rosemary Cooley, William Cooley (Bill), David Cooley, Jack Cooley, John Cooley, Ronnie Cooley, Michael Cooley (Mike) and Glenn Cooley; and his grandparents, Jenny Mae Fleming Foster, William, Louise Bonner Cooley and James Young Cooley.
