She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Bryant and Inez Waddell Cromer of Mayo, SC.; her husband Gerald "Jerry" Wesley Whitesides; her children, Teresa Kirk Allen, Genevieve Cornelia Kirk and Tommy John "Johnny" Kirk; her grandson John Randall Bryant, Jr.; her siblings, Billy Cromer, Warren Cromer, Jerlie Cromer Belcher and Betty Jo Cromer Patterson; and her close friend Jo Broome.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Kirk Nodine (Donnie) of Spartanburg, SC, Brian Whitesides (Teresa) of Belmont, NC and Rick Whitesides (Jeannie) of Blacksburg, SC; her grandchildren, Jessica Bryant Crossley of Virginia, Blake Blum (Kaitlyn) of Greer, SC, Abbigail Nodine Diestler (Sam) of Inman, SC, Mayci Nodine of Spartanburg, SC, Justin, Josh Whitesides and Kelsey Whitesides Wilcox; her siblings, Henry "Hank" Cromer (Carolyn) of Boiling Springs, SC and Nancy Cromer; and her caregivers, LaTreva Anderson (Sunshine), Sharon Gray and Melissa Medlock. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
