She was predeceased by: her father Sammie Lee Jones; her grandparents, Dorothy and Thomas Commander; and her brother Reggie Commander. She is survived by: her mother Elouise Commander Jones (S. C.) of Sumter; her nephew Marquis Davis; her niece Royalty McLeod; her husband David Wahid of Mayesville; her siblings, Dianne Commander of Sumter, Marie Titus Davis of Sumter, Tarkeisha Commander of Sumter, Whitney Williams of Sumter, Patricia Leneau of Sumter, Janie Rush (Dealous), Sarah James of Bishopville, Sandra Wells of Columbia, Terry Clark (Wendy) of Sumter, Archie Titus of Sumter, Datrick Gipson of Sumter, Charles Wells of Elliott and Willie Lee Josey of Forest, MS; and her children, Shanquetta Commander of Sumter, Shanetta Commander of Sumter, Destiny Commander of Sumter, Shamecca Wahid of Sumter, Tahkim Wahid of Sumter and Shamkhail Wahid of Sumter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six aunts; two uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home 3310 South Darlington Highway, Sumter.
