He is survived by: his wife Shirley Brown Hood of Mayesville, SC; his sons, John Ricky Hood of Sumter, SC and Marion H. Hood (Cindi) of Mayesville, SC; his siblings, Riley Hood of Warner Robbins, GA, Blanch Ray of Dalzell, SC and Shelby Douglas of Clover, SC; his grandchildren, Savannah Hood, Houston Hood and Allisen Hood; and his niece Marie Marr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Bethany Baptist Church, 1146 Manville-St. Charles Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.
