She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Lawson and Carrie Cook Lawson; her son Nathaniel Lawson; and her siblings, Joseph Lawson, Moses Lawson, James Henry Lawson, Louis Lawson (Birdie Lawson) and Ada Mae Hall.
She is survived by: her children, L. J. Woods of Charlotte, N. C., Leon Woods (Deloris) of Mayesville, Ruth Woods, Carrie L Woods, Angelina Woods, Maeschell Smith (Roger) of Sumter, Rose M. Woods of Union City, GA and Jennie Carr (Reginald) of Acworth, GA; her sisters, Elizabeth Sharper (Theodore), Betty Jean Lawson, Eloise Lawson, Margaret Sumter and Patricia Lawson of Sumter; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Lawson of Mayesville and Lillie Mae Lawson of Sumter. She is also survived by twenty four grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In accord with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home, 74 Bethune Park Drive, Mayesville.
