He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis E. Cook and Georgia Busbee Cook; and his brother Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Faye Conner Cook; his grandchildren, Clayton Johnson (Sarah), John Robert Black (Margo) and Carsen Knight (Rob); his great grandchildren, Mila Black, Ella Black, Tessa Black and Robert Knight; his son-in-law John Black; his sister Doris Cook Harvey "Dottie"; and also Caitlyn Collins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Southeast Chapel (1604 NE Main St, Simpsonville, SC 29681). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Social Hall of First Baptist Church of Mauldin.
