She was predeceased by: her parents, John Olin McPherson and Eloise Bryant McPherson; her husband John Henry Stanton; and her sisters, Sylvia M. Harrelson and Virginia M Boatwright.
She is survived by: her son Charles Bruce Stanton; her grandson John Bruce Stanton (Donnie); her brothers, James Olin McPherson and Melville Bryant McPherson; her nieces and nephews, Ron Harrelson (Gaby), Sam Harrelson (Diane), Mitchell McPherson, Diann McPherson, Terry Briggs (Joe) and Joyce Faye McPherson; and her close friend Beatrice Richardson. She is also survived by her brother's children after his wife.
