We are sad to announce that on January 28, 2022, at the age of 97, Ruby Louise Byrd Brown of Marion, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Byrd and Hassie Byrd; her husband Lamar; her sons, H. L. Brown (Pete) of Galivants Ferry, SC and Johnny Brown (Buck) of Marion, SC; her grandsons, Victor Gaddy and Russell Gaddy; her great grandchild Sierra Gaddy; her sisters, Mary Irvan, Bobbie Pace, Vivian Mizzell, Dorothy Jackson and Shirley Faircloth; her stepsiblings, Leana White, Betty Thomas, Wardell Joye and Odell Joye; and her stepfather Lester Joye.
She is survived by: her daughter Betty Hayes (Gene) of Dillon; her sister Claudia McCrae of Summerville, SC; her grandchildren, Beverly Brogden (Brian) of Wilmington, NC, Julie Daniels (Lonnie) of Hamer, SC, Terry Gaddy of Tuscumbia, Sandy Harrelson of Aynor, SC, Denise Spurgeon of Conway, SC and Mike Brown (Cynthia) of Garland, NC.; and her daughter-in-law Terry Brown of Galivants Ferry, SC.. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks please be worn during the memorial service.
