He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald C. Herring and Lynda Hyatt Cook. He is survived by: his wife Betty Moore Herring; his children, Justin Herring, Austin Parker of Marion, Brittany Herring and Haley Parker of Marion; his sister Dawn Herring Wassmer of Patchogue Island, NY; and his stepfather Billy Cook of Nichols, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
