She was predeceased by: her parents, Taylor Wilson Richardson and Minola Price Richardson; her husband Perry Moses "P. M." Avin, Jr.; her son Tracy Marshall Avin; and her siblings, Jessie Purvis and Donald Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Carlton Richard "Rick" Avin (Vanessa) of Florence and Terry Avin Walkup (Tommy) of Effingham; and her grandchildren, Mary Christian "Christy" Blalock (Tim) of Darlington, Kenan Walkup Granger (Cole) of Sardis, Megan Walkup Mathers (Neil) of Florence, Michael Donovan Avin of Effingham and Trent Ashley Avin of Darlington.
