With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Francine Elvington Byrd of Marion, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harvey Elvington and Kate Marlowe Elvington; her husband Wildon "Bill" Byrd; her sisters, Georgia Dean Alford and Nellie Kate Adkins; her great grandchildren, Shea Poston and Lianna Smith; and her cousin Cindy Alford.
She is survived by: her children, Helen Byrd Poston (James) of Moncks Corner, SC and Jimmy Wildon Byrd (Penny) of Marion, SC; and her grandchildren, Gordon Eric Poston, Priscilla Rutledge, Dana Jones, Mark Poston and Stephanie Leviner. She is also survived by 30 other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
