He was predeceased by: his parents, James Evander Edwards and Margie Mae Walters Edwards; and his sister Margie Viola Harrelson. He is survived by: his son Donald Lance Edwards of Marion; his grandson Corbin Lance Edwards of Marion; and his siblings, Marie Whittington of Florence, Sue Jones of Mullins, Janice Hardee (Terry) of Florence and Mitchell Edwards of Florence.
