He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Dick McCummings, Sr. and Frances Burney McCummings; his sister Nettie Mae; his brother-in-law Henry Spry; his siblings, Douglas Smith, Daniel McCummings and Sophronia Raybon; his niece Louise Legette; his nephews, Donald Legette, Anthony Legette, Calvin Legette, Shawn McCummings, Darren Bernard McCummings and William Henry Powell, Jr.; his great-nephew Marquis Ford II; and his siblings-in-law, Beulah Mae McCummings and Phillip Johnson.
He is survived by: his caregiver Francesca McCummings; his siblings, Carolyn McCummings-McKenzie, Janice Ellen Johnson, Arthur McCummings, Jr., Randall McCummings and Carl (Barbara); his close friends, Ronnie Davis, Fannie Morris and Shirley Douglas; his nieces, Tonya McKenzie, Francesca McCummings, Joan Spry and Kimberly Paige; his caregiver Portual Norman; his nephews, Jacoby Gunter, Henry Spry, Jr. and Willie Joe Paige, Jr.; and his cousin Reverend Virginia F. Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
