She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dudley Herring and Lottie Richardson Herring; her former husband Douglas Carlyle White; her husband James Hugh Atkinson; and her siblings, Eunice H Allen and Leon Waldo Herring.
She is survived by: her stepsons, Jim Atkinson (Pam) of Auburndale and Don Atkinson (Jeanie) of Nevarre Beach, FL. She is also survived by seven step-grandchildren.
