He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Phillips; his daughters, Bridgit Phillips, Portia Phillips and Cassandra Phillips; his parents, Isabelle and Willie; his siblings, Steven A. Bethea, Rose Mary Bethea, Pete Phillips (Pat) of Maryland, Levern Bethea (Eunice) of Georgia, Steve Bethea (Wilma) of Texas, Dock Bethea Jr. of Washington, Jeanette Phillips of Latta, SC and Golder Stother of Maryland; his grandson Eden DeWitt; and his friends, Franklin Johnson and Harry Davis. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and close friends.
