With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Jane Smith of Marietta, South Carolina, born in Waynesville, North Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Garrison and Emma Gibson Garrison; her siblings, Elizabeth, JoAnne, Charles and A. J.; and her son-in-law James Mervin Hornbuckle.

She is survived by: her children, Ray Middleton (Dempol) and Moneen Hornbuckle; and her granddaughter Lindsey Middleton.
