She was predeceased by: her husband James Carlos Hampton Johnson; her parents, Floyd Mathis and Gaynell Shook Mathis; and her siblings, Rhonda Smith, Sandy McCall, Jo Simpson, Holly Reems and Jack Mathis.

She is survived by: her sons, James C. Johnson and Lee Johnson (Tonya); her grandsons, Josh Johnson and Noah Johnson; and her siblings, Randy Mathis (Juanita), Anthony Mathis and Linda Heatherly. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
