He was predeceased by: his brother Roger Newton; and his stepbrother Byron Capps. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Newton (Sharon) and Christine McIntosh Walling; his wife Rosie Hyder Newton; his children, Allen Newton (Lindsey), Brian Laws, Crystal Newton (Ali) and Shannon Deck (Kip); his grandchildren, Evan Crooks, Emilie Smith, Madison Sisk, Olive Newton, Scarlett Newton and Ivy Newton; and his stepsiblings, Barry Capps, Keith Capps, Lisa Nolen and Kim Hart.
