She was predeceased by: her husband Col. Joseph Robert Rodwell, Sr.; her parents, William Pou Herlong and Varnie Mae McLeod Herlong; and her son Lt. Cmd. She is survived by: her children, Ann Rodwell Crigler of Charleston, William Allen Rodwell (Kathy) of Myrtle Beach and Thomas Thurmond Rodwell of Charleston; her grandchildren, Joseph Robert Rodwell III (Tia), Bryan William Rodwell, Britton Rodwell Crigler, MD (Lauren), Julieann Tatum Crigler Murphy, Foster Allen Rodwell (Leslie), William Dewey Rodwell (Kara), Evan Thomas Rodwell (Amy), Shelby Kathleen Rodwell and Ansley Elizabeth Rodwell; her great grandchildren, Joseph Rodwell, Sienne, Keah, Zalynn Rodwell, Carter, Nathan, Greyson Crigler, Caleb, Eli Murphy, Clayton, Jack Rodwell, Jay and Reese Rodwell; her siblings, Don Louis Herlong (Martha Ellen) of Sumter, Catherine Herlong Ard of Manning, Freddie Herlong Crymes of Charleston, William Pou Herlong, Jr. (Barbara), Farris Herlong Phillips (Robert), Gloria Herlong Lewis (Ben) and Beverly Herlong Nettles (Roy); her brothers-in-law, Julius Herman Ard and William Burke Crymes, MD; and also Joan Rodwell Feddersen (Charlie) of Ft. Mill. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
