Richard Calvin Evans Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Calvin Evans (Manning, South Carolina), who passed away on December 13, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wesley Evans and Minnie Osborne Evans; his grandson Allen Evans; and his siblings, L. C. Evans, Dorothy Haynes, Rounette Reardon and Patsy Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Susie "Sue" Evans; his sons, Richard Calvin "Ricky" Evans, Jr. (Terri) of Manning and Bobby Allen Evans (Dee) of Manning; his stepchildren, Cindy Sarvis (Kenny) of Aynor, Wendy Player (Tregg) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Rodney Wise (Garnett) of Aynor; his grandchildren, Richard Calvin "Cal" Evans III (Elizabeth) of Reston, VA, Christopher Reid Evans (Courtney) of Easley and Ashton Gore (Arthur) of Greenville; and his siblings, Russell "Rusty" Evans of New Zion, Deanie Thigpen of Manning, Joyce Rogers of Clover, Diane Carper (Roger) of Indiana and Judy Ard of Kingstree. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; eight step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory (304 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Free Will Baptist Church (2761 Liberty Church Rd, Manning, SC 29102).
