Though Michel may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michel touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James J. Hayes and Lucy Witherspoon Hayes.

Viewing was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sr. Memorial Chapel (114 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel (114 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102).
