He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Francis Meistrell and Mary Martha Mansfield Meistrell; his son Marvin Nicholas Meistrell, Jr.; his sister Mary Lorraine Read; and his daughter-in-law Joann Meistrell.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ruth Yung Meistrell; his daughter Anita Putman (Ted) of Tampa, FL; and his grandchildren, Brianna Meistrell, Shannon Perkins (Miles) and Teddy Putman (Kaitlyn). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
