He was predeceased by: his parents, Golden Mitchum and Mary Lee Rushing Mitchum; and his sons, Timmy Mitchum and Lyndon Mitchum. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo McCarthy Mitchum; his children, Loretta Jean Brunk (George) of Elloree, Leonard Wayne Mitchum (Mamie) of Rock Hill, Marie McCall (Donnie Faile) of Kershaw and Joey Archibald (Tara DuBose) of Paxville; and his siblings, Richard Mitchum (Dee) of Sumter, Lena Deese of Sumter and Patricia Hobbs (Drew) of Timmonsville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
