He was predeceased by: his spouse Judith Laugherty Kirby; his siblings, Veignro Kirby, Ray M. Kirby and Frances K. Taylor; and his son-in-law Mitch Hampton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karon K. Lowder (Wyman), Sherri K. Floyd, Lisa K. Matthews, Debra K. Cameron (Chris), Julie Coker and Kim Hampton; his grandchildren, Megan L. Powell (Ward), Whitney Amos, Joshua Matthews, Laura Matthews, Kyle Coker (Katrina) and Drew Coker (Randi); his great grandchildren, Emma Grace Amos, Heston Ward Powell, Luke Coker and Brody Coker; his sisters, Annis K. King and Janette K. Moore; and his nephews, Jimmy Taylor, Randy Moore (Dana) and Jody R. Floyd (Elaine).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House or The Humane Society.
