She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howell Spires and Ruth Marie Davidson Spires. She is survived by: her husband Richard David Barwick; her children, Joy Chambers (Casey) of North Augusta and John Thompson of Minnesota; her stepsons, Billy Barwick (Manon) of Sumter and James Barwick (Sandra) of Sumter; and her siblings, Terry Vaughn and Julian Spires. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; a great grandson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Manning Baptist Temple (1375 A M Nash Rd, Manning, SC 29102).
