It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Rubin Mitchum Sr. (Manning, South Carolina), who passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubin Mitchum and Carrie Lee Hodge Mitchum; his son Joshua Mitchum; and his siblings, Barbara Alsbrook, Debra Mahoney and Aaron Mitchum.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Rubin Mitchum, Jr. of Sumter and Nicole Mitchum of Fayetteville, NC; and his sisters, Almeita Hovermale of Manning, Carolyn Melton of West Columbia and Angela Nexsen (Jerry) of Manning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Deep Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery (7965 Bloomville Rd, Manning, SC 29102).
