He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Pops" Rainwater and Opal Fowler Pylant. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Pylant of Wilmington, NC, Joseph Pylant (Kim) of Tarboro, NC and John E. "Pete" Pylant (Brynn) of Summerton; and his brother Brad Rainwater (Janet) of Carrollton, GA.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
