He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Harold Jones and Jenester Morris Jones; his grandson Joshua Roberson; and his siblings, Louvinia Perry and Donald Edward Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Denise "Neicy" Roberson of New Zion and Joe H. "Joey" Jones, Jr. (Amanda) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Staci Roberson, Kodi Jones, Hagen Jones, Emma Jones and Noah Jones; his great grandchild Arleigh Floyd; and his siblings, Harvey Davis Jones of Turbeville, Willa Mae Richardson of Sumter, Blondel Mims (Mack) of Turbeville, Joanne Coker (Ronald) of Lake City and Alice Barfield (Carlisle) of Lake City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory (304 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
