She was predeceased by: her spouse Ashley LeGrande Gardner, Sr.; her parents, Jackson "Jack" Thomas Thames and Hennie Mae Geddings Thames; her sons, Ashley LeGrande "Poncho" Gardner, Jr. and James Donald Gardner; and her sister Mildred Thames Price.

She is survived by: her children, Debra T. Barnhardt (Tom) of Charlotte, NC and Kenneth P. Gardner of Sumter. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to First Church of God, 1835 Camden Highway, Sumter, SC 29153.
