He is survived by: his father Bobby Gainey; his children, Aaron Gainey, Janie Benenhaley, Gabriel Gainey and Grayson Gainey; and his siblings, Barbara Gainey (Chris), Shelley Gainey and Vernon "Les" Gardner of Sumter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
