With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Herbert Alton Venning Jr. (Manning, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Alton Venning, Sr. and Elizabeth Hepburn Reed Venning; and his sister Ria Melle Venning Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Anne Bailey Venning; his children, William Nicholas Venning of Manning and Catherine Anne Venning Alsbrook (Ray) of Summerton; his grandchildren, Wesley Ardis, Caitlan Huff (Bryan), Justin Alsbrook, Emily Venning Windham (J. T.) and Kelly Venning; his great grandchildren, Bailey, Beau, Blake, Brooks and Baylor; and his siblings, Thomasine Venning Smith of Sumter and Samuel Riley Venning II (Renee) of Hartsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory (304 N Church St, Manning, SC 29102). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Summerton United Methodist Church (2 Briggs St, Summerton, SC 29148).
