He was predeceased by: his son Gary Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Peterson; his children, Darnell Peterson (DayLynn) and April Holmes (Kenny); his siblings, Cloren Cantey, Bettie Peterson, James Peterson (Mary), Mary Samuels, Amelia Moss (Carl), Rosena Chapman (Leonard) and Jannett Conyers; his grandchildren, Darnell Peterson II, Aquiyah Holsey, Gary Holsey, Ebony Peterson, Treyvon Kinlaw and Morgan Holmes; and his sister-in-law Edith Fowler. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
