Though Gilbert Dewey may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Gilbert Hodge and Myrtis Margaret Hodge Hodge. He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Dwayne Hode (Lanette) of Louisiana, Rodney Jay Hodge of Manning and Kelly Simmons of Bishopville; his sisters, Loretta L. Geddings of Sumter and Gloria Raymond of Manning; and the mother of his children Sandra Culp of Bishopville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
