She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Cooper "Bobby" Melton; her parents, Archie Robert Stukes, Sr. and Maria Lorraine Lowder Stukes; her grandson Christopher D. Walker; her great grandchild Halie Jade Walker; and her siblings, Charlton Ridgeway, Wilburn Ridgeway and Selina Ridgeway Griffin.
She is survived by: her children, Michael A. Walker (Cynthia) of Manning and Sonya Walker of Florence; her grandchildren, Allen Walker of Manning, Brandlyn Whitaker of Sumter and Candice Greenan (John) of Florence; her great grandchildren, Tanner, Cody, Meadow, Jack and Anne Lawson; and her brother Archie R. Stukes, Jr. (Martha) of Manning. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
