He was predeceased by: his parents, Waveland LeGear McCabe, Sr. and Maude Esther McAllister McCabe; and his brother Steve McCabe. He is survived by: his children, D. Ryan McCabe, Jr. (Jennifer) of Lexington, Barbara McCabe Medlin (Jeff) of Spotsylvania, VA, Chrystal McCabe Stephens of Tiffin, OH, Stephanie McCabe Hughes (Kevin) of Tiffin, OH and Christopher Adam McCabe of Mansfield, OH; his siblings, Waveland LeGear McCabe, Jr. (Pam) of Alcolu, Phyllis McCabe Brunson of Summerton and Vicki McCabe Ellsworth of Raeford, NC; and his sister-in-law Cindy Fenters McCabe of Manning. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
