He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, King Bennett, Sr. and Earlean Pugh Bennett; his wife Wanda Yvette Gainey Bennett; his children, David Bennett, Jr. (Shakayla), Akii Hill, Crystal Green (Antonio), Chrissie Bennett, Shayla Bennett, Dimeisha Hill and Lakeila Nelson (Lashaun); his stepchildren, Danielle Burns, Domonique Gainey, Jeremy Gainey and Deshawn Burns; and his siblings, Lawrence Bennett (Louise), King Bennett, Jr. (Deloris), Clyde Bennett (Arlene), Sheldon Bennett (Rochelle), Beulah Holliday (Joseph), Carolyn Thompson (Alexander, Sr.) and Beverly Durant (Quentin). He was also cherished by twenty-four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
