He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Clemmons Baynard and Lora Brown Baynard; his brother Charles O. Baynard; and his pet Daisy. He is survived by: his children, Mindy Hale (Larry) of Manning, Diane Geddings (Cal) of Lexington, David Baynard (Gina) of Manning and Barbie McAlister (Gerald) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Bonnie Sade of Myrtle Beach, Robby Cummings (Lindsy) of Cleveland Tennessee, Jeanna Sisler (Heath) of Whiteville, NC, Jesse Baynard, Aaron Baynard of Manning, Mary Buddin Creech (Landon) of Turbeville, Paige Martin (Zak) of Lexington, Kaitlin Rogers (RJ) of Sumter, Trey McAlister of Camp Lejeune, Patricia McCall (Andy) of Sumter and James Barbee of Sumter; and his child Twenty. He is also survived by Twenty-One Great Grandchildren and Eight Great-Great Grandchildren.
