He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Carter Ard; his children, Donald Ard of Manning and Tyra Justice of Summerville; his grandchildren, Charlton Ard, Sarah Thomas (Allan), Morgan Ard (Nicoleta), Adam Ard (Justiann), Paula Justice and Britton Johnson (Ric); and his great grandchildren, Evelyne Llie, Delia Ard, Espen Thomas, Nicholas Ard, Tyra Lilly Johnson, Hank Johnson, Amelia Johnson, Zadie Ard and Declan Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
