She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cephas and Miriam Dougherty Stokes; her spouse J. D. Cottingham; her son Michael Tomlinson; and her brother James Stokes.
She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Bailey (Jerry); her granddaughters, Kate Bryant (Lee) and Elizabeth Ward; her great grandchildren, Gavin, Jacob and Eden; her grandchildren, Penny Tallon, Patrick and Jenny McGee; and her pet Angel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Lynchburg Presbyterian Cemetery (564 Lynchburg Hwy, Lynchburg, SC 29080).
