She was predeceased by: her spouse Glenn O'Neil McElveen of Lynchburg, SC; her parents, John Furman Sr. and Marie Scott Prevatte; and her siblings, Essie Prevatte Frierson, Leroy Prevatte Moore, John Furman Prevatte, Jr., Montague Jacob Prevatte, Edwin Earl Prevatte and Addie Prevatte Blanton.
She is survived by: her children, Dennis McElveen (Nancy) of Lynchburg, Mitch McElveen (Patti) of Lynchburg, Gregg McElveen of Lynchburg and Pat Furlong (Leo) of Mooresville, NC.; and her grandchildren, Matt, Jill McElveen, Laci Taylor (Joel), Kelli Grant (Jacob), Leo Furlong IV (Tay), Jackie Ford (Darrell) and Ben Furlong. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
