He was predeceased by: his father William Larry "Goose" Gambrell; and his grandparents, Robert, Marjorie Pierce, Jack and Mildred Gambrell.
He is survived by: his mother June Pierce Gambrell of Lyman; his son Nicholas Alexander Gambrell of Duncan; his sister Stephanie; his brother-in-law Mark Bennefield of Greer; his niece Lindsey Bennefield of Greer; and also Kristy Sherwin Gambrell of Duncan.
