He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Kimmons (Cantrell) and John Kimmons. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Aileen Kimmons (Suddeth); his children, Ron Kimmons (Annette) and Carolyn Cox (Don); his grandchildren, Tim Kimmons and Somer Houston (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Hanna Kimmons, Aiden, Liam, Finn and Kinsley Houston.
