She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Carter and Lucille Carter; her husband Neil H. Anderson; her daughter Diane Elizabeth Mengel; her great grandchild Audrey Mengel; and her siblings, Gene Carter, Marks Carter, William Carter and Nancy Dunn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Katherine Anderson of Spartanburg, Tish O'Dell (Kenny) of Inman and Ruth Tisdel (Matthew) of Pacolet; her sister Zoe Johnson (Jackie) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Angela Mengel, Jennifer Roberts, David Mengel, Karl Lohmyer, Brian O'Dell, Drew O'Dell, Daniel Tisdel and Sarah Marrero. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
