He was predeceased by: his father Harold Dean Mason; and his son Jonathan James Mason. He is survived by: his spouse Keri Hindman Mason; his mother Janet McAbee Mason; his children, Rachael Ann Mason and Calvin Turner Mason; and his siblings, Robert Mason (Amie) and Lesi Knighton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, Foster Care Program, 490 S. Pleasantburg Dr. Greenville, SC 29607.
